A fizzy, desi brand gets a home on the web

Root Beverages bottles nostalgic Indian flavours, from Nagpur orange and Amritsari jeera to Konkani kokam, with RO-treated water and no sulfur. We designed and built its website: a bold, illustrated single-page experience that carries the brand's playful voice, showcases every flavour, sends shoppers straight to quick-commerce apps and gives distributors and retailers a way to get in touch.

The challenge

A new soda brand with big flavour and no shop window.

Root Beverages launched with a strong idea: the street-corner flavours of an Indian childhood, bottled with clean ingredients. But a new drinks brand sells on personality and trust, and until now both lived only on the label. Shoppers found it on quick-commerce apps with no story behind it, and would-be distributors had no way to learn who was behind the brand or how to get in touch.

The brief was a website that felt like the drink: loud, playful and unmistakably desi. It had to introduce each flavour, back the taste with the brand's purity promises, send shoppers to wherever they already order groceries, and open a door for trade partners.

Our approach

How we got there.

Design to launch, 2025, design + engineering: here is how the time was spent.

01

Discover

Sessions with the founder on the brand's roots, its five launch flavours and where the first customers were coming from: quick-commerce apps and word of mouth. Two audiences emerged, sippers and stockists, and the page was structured to serve both.

02

Design & prototype

A visual system built from the packaging: hot orange and tomato reds, a hand-drawn display face, dotted backgrounds and the label's ice-cube, lime and glass illustrations, prototyped as a scrolling single page with tilted promise cards and a flavour carousel.

03

Build & test

A fast Next.js site with a flavour carousel, ordering buttons for Zepto, Instamart and Blinkit, a testimonial rail, founder and team story, FAQ accordion and a validated collaboration form, checked on the phones most shoppers use.

04

Launch & optimise

Live at rootbeverages.in with SEO metadata and social links in place, then the flavour copy and ordering paths refined from how visitors actually moved through the page.

The solution

One page that tastes like the brand, from hero to footer.

Visitors land on the Nagpur Orange hero and can order from their favourite quick-commerce app before they scroll. Below, the four purity promises tilt into view, the flavour carousel introduces the range, sippers speak for the product, the founder and team tell the story, the FAQ answers the trade questions and a collaboration form closes the loop for distributors.

Hero & ordering

A full-bleed orange hero with the bottle, illustrated garnish and the 'Zesty. Juicy. Classic.' tagline, plus order buttons for Zepto, Instamart and Blinkit right under it.

Flavour carousel

Nagpur Orange, Amritsari Jeera, Konkani Kokam, Ind Cola and Allahabadi Guava, each on its own colour with a studio render, a desi tagline and a tasting note.

Purity promises

RO-treated water, sulfur-free sugar, local employment and FSSAI-standard hygiene on tilted, colour-blocked cards with factory photography.

Story & trade enquiry

Founder and core-team profiles, sipper testimonials, a five-question FAQ for stockists and a collaboration form with phone, email, office and factory addresses.
